Knitted sheets: a real breakthrough in comfort and durability.

When it comes to comfort, knitted bedsheets are superior in every way to conventional woven sheets. They’re softer. Smoother. And they fit better, for fewer wrinkles.

For too long, though, knitted sheets were neither practical nor cost effective for healthcare facilities; a small tear or hole caused runs or "zippers."

Our design team changed all that. After testing many different combinations of yarn, various knitting constructions and special cut and sew methods, Domestic Fabrics developed special knitted fabric that offers all sorts of impressive advantages:

User Comfort. The soft spun yarn component provides a soft, air-trapping layer between the mattress and body, while the fabric structure delivers increased permeability for good air flow. The patient is kept warmer and less likely to suffer from skin shear or compression sores.

Durability. Our knitted bedsheets easily last three times longer than conventional institutionalRed thread bedsheets (some customers have even reported that ours outlast others by four to five times).

Part of the reason is the quality construction – all corners are fitted and taped, for example.

Part of the reason is the component yarn we use.

And part of the reason is the actual structure of the fabric – it virtually eliminates running or zippering if a hole is accidentally made.

Less labor. Our knitted sheets fit easily to the bed, without the need for hospital corners. So staff members spend a lot less time making – and remaking – beds.

What’s more, beds look and stay neat due to no wrinkles or creases; staff time and effort to keep the bed straightened is reduced.

Reduced cost. Although our healthcare products cost more initially, their extremely long life results in significant savings over the life of the product.

ALL THE LITTLE EXTRAS.
Our healthcare products are available with features you won’t find in competitors’ products:

Everything is available in white, of course, but also in a number of pleasing shades.

Anything we make can be sewn with contrasting thread – even custom colors of thread – to identify your sheets at the laundry or for clinical separation.

Multicolor thread

Your facility’s information can be printed on your sheets.

All of our products are available in standard sizes plus custom sizes.

NEW FADEFREE COLORING PROCESS.
Recently, Fadefree Coloring ProcessDomestic Fabrics began using a new and complex process to produce our healthcare products in colors.

Instead of dyeing, color is achieved by introducing chemically active chromophores into the polyester fiber while it exists in a liquid phase. These chromophores – or color particles – are permanently sealed in the polyester fiber and so they won’t wash out, change hue, or fade even when exposed to institutional laundry conditions or chemicals. What’s more, you can wash our FadeFree sheets and pillowcases with white linens, without worrying about colors bleeding and discoloring the whites.

One additional benefit: color consistency from lot to lot is near perfect. So products you order today will match products you order next year. And the year after that.

GOING ABOVE AND BEYOND.
Domestic Fabrics goes beyond just being a typical supplier:

We are just as capable of producing large orders as small custom orders.

Our specialized onsite manufacturing equipment enables us to promise – and deliver on – quick turnaround times.

We produce all of our products entirely in the United States.

We can help to develop a refit schedule to help ensure that you always have an ample supply of bedding products.

We believe so strongly in the performance of our products, we offer every customer a 60-day money back guarantee. If you don’t think ours are better than what you’ve been using, we’ll take them back.

ADD SILVERion™, SUBTRACT MICROBES.
One of our most innovative fabric options is the addition of our SILVERion™ antimicrobial feature.

An invisible silver compound – effective against more than 650 strains of bacteria, yeast, fungi and molds – is embedded in the fibers comprising the fabric. The products actually combat the spread of infection, retard odor and wash cleaner than conventional fabrics.

What’s more, SILVERion™ can keep linens from becoming vectors of disease; microbes aren’t carried on blankets or towels into hallways, laundry carts, etc.

As an added benefit, fabrics with SILVERion™ resist discoloration.

The SILVERion™ antimicrobial feature can be added to any of our healthcare products.

THE CHOICE IS YOURS.
Domestic Fabrics produces a variety of healthcare products:
