Domestic Fabrics is a vertical operation primarily
so that we can control every aspect of our manufacturing process
to ensure that the strictest quality control standards are
met.
Cones of yarn coming into the plant are meticulously inspected
for compliance to specifications. Then, during knitting, finishing
and storage, we constantly monitor equipment and fabric.
We routinely send a cut from each lot to our quality control
testing lab. Here, width, yield, conformance to standard,
color and wash shrinkage tests are performed; the results
are recorded and archived for comparative inspection. All
of the test data are computerized and available for review
and to help in developing new products.
Our painstaking attention to quality doesnt stop once
the fabric is produced.
It goes on through fabric storage, where we rely on our computer
network to help ensure that every order is packed and warehoused
with the utmost care and attention.
And it extends to the service we deliver. Customers may request
weekly order status reports as a way of keeping their production
departments informed.
CONSISTENCY
If you order fabric from us today, and then
reorder a week or month or year from now, you need to know
that there will be virtually no variation from one lot to
the next. And since our fabrics may go through as many as
17 processes, we have to work very hard to ensure consistency.
And we do.
