Well make this mercifully brief.
Domestic Fabrics was incorporated in December 1955 as Domestic
Lace. We began with four pre-World War II warp-knitting machines
in a small rented factory building in Englewood, New Jersey.
By 1958, we had built our own manufacturing facilities with
over 100 newer knitting machines and had already become the
worlds largest manufacturer of double-needle warp-knitted
fabrics.
A pilot operation, under the name Domestic Manufacturing,
was opened in Kinston, North Carolina, in May of 1969.
Today, Domestic Fabrics facility in Kinston occupies several
buildings with more than 120,000 square feet of manufacturing
and warehousing space.
